Le Salon Privé is an independent French restaurant in the heart of St Margarets. We serve classic French cooking made with seasonal British produce, led by our chef-patron Gianluca di Monaco, who previously cooked with Pierre Koffmann. The dining room has stained-glass windows, clothed tables and a relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere. Upstairs is a private dining room that hosts celebrations and events. We have regulars who have been coming for years, and we would like you to help them feel at home.
The role
We’re looking for a warm, reliable and attentive waiter or waitress to join our small front-of-house team. You’ll look after guests from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave, and you’ll help create the kind of experience that keeps people coming back.
What you’ll do
- Greet and seat guests warmly, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Know the menu and wine list well enough to make confident recommendations
- Set and reset tables to a high standard and keep the dining room clean and polished
- Support service at private dining events and on busy days, such as Twickenham match days
- Work closely with the kitchen to keep service smooth and timely
- Handle bills and payments accurately
What we’re looking for
- Previous waiting experience, ideally in a restaurant with table service (we’ll also consider an enthusiastic beginner with the right attitude)
- Good spoken English and a friendly, polished manner
- An interest in food and wine; knowledge of French cuisine is a bonus
- Reliability, punctuality and teamwork
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- The right to work in the UK
