About us

Hello everyone!

We try and keep the focus of My Richmond on the local businesses we feature and the local area, however we wanted to share a bit more about us to shed some light on who’s behind all of this! 

We are a husband and wife team, our original connection to Richmond was through family (Mum!) working at the Richmond Duck Pond Market (open every weekend in Heron Square!) for many years. We've now both worked in the Richmond borough for over a decade!

With a background in marketing, we set out in December 2016 to create a platform that would help local businesses like the market attract people from the local area and beyond. 

Fast forward to 2025 and what started as a hobby due to our love of the borough has now grown into a full time family run business! Over the past 9+ years we've worked hard to organically grow the largest social media audience of people who live or work in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames with over 90,000 followers across our social media channels.

We hope My Richmond will encourage you to LoveLocal and support the wonderful independent businesses in the area!
